Rental Terms and Conditions

DRIVING LICENSE & PASSPORT

To rent a car, the driver must have his driver’s license and passport with him.

The driver’s license of the car must have been issued at least one year before the rental date.

The driver must hold either a valid driving license issued by an EU country. or an international driving license. The international driving license must be accompanied by a driving license of the country of the driver of the car.

RENTER REQUIREMENTS

The Driver must be over 23 years old, this applies to all categories of cars. The maximum age should be up to 70 years.

PAYMENT & BOOKING

We accept payment by cash and MasterCard or Visa credit / debit cards. Any other cards will not be accepted.
The reservation will be made in advance of 30% of the price and will be paid on the first day of rental upon delivery of the car.

MINIMUM RENTAL TIME

The minimum rental time is set at 3 days. At the end of the rental, a further period of 1 hour is allowed free of charge. At the end of the 1 hour grace period, the renter will be charged for another full day.

CONTRACT TERMINATION

In case of termination of the contract during the rental, NO REFUNDS will be made.

LOSSES / DAMAGES OF Infant Seat, Baby Seat

The customer is responsible for all losses or damages of GPS, Baby seats, boosters, keys, and is obliged to pay the corresponding cost of the damage or loss.

Traffic Violations, Traffic fines & Administrative Sanctions

Tickets and appended administrative sanctions resulting from any violation of the Greek Traffic law during rental period, is solely the renter’s responsibility. If any such administrative sanction is not disclosed to the company at the end of the rental period (contract), the violation will be charged to the renter.

Fuel Policy

The renter has to return the vehicle with the same level of petrol as delivered. In case of return of the vehicle with less fuel, the renter will be charged with the difference in the cost of fuel. In case of return of the vehicle with more fuel, the renter is not entitled to a refund.

DRIVING POLICY ON NON-ASPHALT ROUTES

Our vehicles should only be driven on paved roads.
Driving on an unpaved road is only allowed for 4 X 4 category F vehicles, and only on specific dirt roads indicated by our staff.

IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT

The renter must contact our office in the event of an accident or other problem before taking any further action. In case of an accident, the renter is obliged, regardless of fault, to complete the accident declaration based on article K70 of the Greek Legislation.

VEHICLE CATEGORIES

Reservations apply to specific vehicle categories, which may include different car models with similar characteristics.

NO SHOW - LATE ARRIVAL

In case the renter is not present at the date and time of his booking without prior written or telephone conversation, the booking will be canceled after 3 hours and the deposit given by the renter will not be refunded. In case the renter is not responsible, ie if he travels by plane or ship and his trip is delayed we will have been informed and we will be present at the time of his arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up of the vehicle there is no charge. For cancellations made less than 48 hours after the receiving of the vehicle the cancellation penalty is equal to the amount paid during the booking / booking confirmation.

INSURANCE POLICY

WHAT INSURANCE DO NOT COVER

Use of the vehicle outside Crete
Use of the vehicle on an unpaved road.
Use of the vehicle after a car accident.
Driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
Repair the vehicle by anyone other than the owner.
Drivers not mentioned in the contract.
Damage caused by intent or negligence.
Damages caused by violation of the Road Traffic Code.
Damage caused by incorrect fuel usage.
Damage to the underside of the car, inside and damage to the tires of the car that is not repairable.
Exceeding the limits of the passengers specified in the license of each car.
Use of the vehicle after the expiration of the period stated in the contract

For every car rental of Arm Car & Bikes, only the driver mentioned in the contract is insured.

If a second driver is to drive the car he must be present on the day of delivery and has with him the driver’s license and passport so that his will be also registered in the contract.

Up to 2 drivers are listed in the contract.
